Garnier Campus Challenge: Results Night

The Polytechnic University of the Philippines is one of the lucky university that has been chosen by the Garnier team to join their Garnier Campus Challenge together with other big universities all over the country. The challenge is to organize an event that will promote beauty and wellness as well as taking care of the world. And with all efforts and prayers, we had a successful event entitled:
Its Our Turn To Shine: A Convention for Young Women.
Night of October 18, 2012.  The.. tendenenenenenen: RESULTS NIGHT!!

Me and my co-EXECOMS decided to go to the venue, Enderun, The Fort, together using a van. While at the vehicle, on our way to the venue, we were very nervous for we really need to win because we still have unsettled accounts because of unfortunate happenings during our preparation for our convention, "Its Our Turn To Shine".

This is the video presentation made by Garnier Team during our convention at PUP Main.

Then we arrived at the venue... late. Hahaha. But the program did not start yet.. Actually, it started when we already settled ourselves to our tables. Georgina Wilson talked a lot about PUP during the program, she also said that PUP won in her heart. I am very touched about what she said and that gave us hope that we will gonna win. But unfortunately, we didn't get the grand prize which is 100 thousand pesos.. but! we won a special award which is the "Creative Treatment Award.
And because of what happened, we decided not to go home yet for we still need to talk about the problem of the "unsettled accounts".

 Awesome, Georgina Wilson.
Feeling winner. Hahaha. While they are awarding University of Mindanao as the Grand Winner.

We all decided to go somewhere so that we could take away the sadness we felt for not winning.

 At Eastwood Mall.

Need to have some coffee to warm our hearts. Hahahaha. Warm? Ice cold coffee?

Deep in our hearts I know we deserve to win! But God has His own reasons why we did't, maybe because they need it more than us.

Thanks to Luiza O. for the photos.

Vietnam: Day 1.

September 19, 2012.
This is our first day. I woke up not so early cause we don't have call time yet, we just woke-up the time we want. This is our very free day, we can go anywhere we want. This is the day I enjoyed the most for there are no pressure yet. I woke up in the morning and went down for breakfast (I dont even wash my face that time yet. Hahaha.) To my surprise, as I saw the street outside/infront of the hotel, there were so many motors. As in super dami!!!! More than hundred (I'm not being OA, promise, madami talaga!)
After breakfast, I went out together with some friends to take some pictures (ng hindi pa naghihilamos at nagaayos).

With Lezil Gaduyon and Roomie (Look, terno kami o! )
Look at the background, motors all around the street.
One of the hotel staffs. He was very shy when we took pictures with him and some of his co-staff are laughing at him, we don't understand what they are talking about but as we can interpret, they are teasing Mr. Hotel Staff. :)

We roam around the hotel in the morning and after that me and my co-execoms prepared for our meeting to the officials of STHC. Advance Party: Me, Athina, Marga, Jeryll and Reven went to the school as we need to have some talk and arrangements for the convention. My task is to hand to them the certificates that are needed to be signed by what they call "Principal".

I am very touched on how they welcome us. See, they even have this LED chuchu to welcome us. Its like we were.. "Awwwww! Nakakatouch naman."

After the meeting we went to have a mini city tour for we have our rented car. Sorry I can't post pictures yet. Hahaha. I don't have my camera kasi that time.

After that.. We went back to hotel then...Yeeeep yeeeep! Its shopping time!!!
We were "one hour billionaire". Sobraaang yaman namin, we have 2 million in exchange for 100 dollar.

See. We are already holding big garbage bags for we bought so maaaany! This is why I wanna go back to Vietnam, I still want to buy more bags and accessories.

Pictures grabbed from friends.

Next blog: Day 2 :)

Vietnam, my first.

As the title says it is my first time to be out of the country. Last Sept. 18-23, we, together with my fellow batchmates went to Vietnam to have our convention which we organize together with Saigon Hospitality College, the school which we tied up for the exchange of Filipino and Vietnamese Culture, Education and Tourism. I promised to myself not to blog about this until such day that I already saw my grade in MICE (Conventions and Events Management) for I will be more happy to blog knowing that I got a good grade and all my efforts in organizing the convention is worth it! And this is the day, I got a very good grade! Wohooo!!! Thanks to Prof. Yolanda Montances. =)))

And here we go.. At the airport..

I wear my favorite indigo skirt (which I bought for our Garnier shoot) and our official back-statement-shirt that says.. PUP GOES TO VIETNAM.
Photo taken as a sample for roomie's (Luiza O.) outfit shot. I was the one who took her pictures and for me to know what to do she took this first as a sample. Hahaha. And, ofcourse I'm gonna use it na din, sayang naman. Hahaha.
Meet roomie! I call her roomie because.. (watch out for my next blog to know why. Hihihi.)
First batch. Yes, we are just less than 20. First batch is mostly execoms, we went to Vietnam earlier than the other organizers for we have a very special task to do (utos ni Big Brother. Hahaha)
My first time to fly internationally. Yep yep!

Watch out for my next blogs!

Photos grabbed from Luiza O. Thanks roomie! :) Visit her blog luizaordono.blogspot.com :)
